The rose is a combination of love and beauty, both incarnating the goddess of beauty and dissolving into the blood of the goddess of love. Every year on Valentine's Day, roses double their value because they are pets for lovers and couples. But do you know how to plant roses and how to plant rose seeds? Today, the editor will introduce to you:
Planting methods for rose seeds:
1、 Selection of soil
The germination rate of rose seeds is relatively low, so the soil used for sowing generally needs to be loose, breathable, and high in water holding capacity. Generally, the soil is mixed with vermiculite, peat, water moss, perlite, snakewood chips, etc. If conditions permit, it can be prepared by yourself; General weakly acidic soil without conditions is also acceptable, but there must be no foreign objects in the soil
2、 Treatment of Rose Seeds
Step: First, soak the rose seeds in warm water at around 40 degrees Celsius. After cooling, continue soaking for 4-6 hours and remove the seeds. The soaked seeds are prone to germination.
Step 2: Place the seeds into the soil (note: the soil needs to be loose, breathable, and have good water holding capacity). Generally, 5-8 seeds can be sown in each container. After germination, leave a stronger one based on the growth status of the seedlings; After germination, cut off seedlings and leave 1-3 small seedlings as appropriate. After sowing, the container should be covered with cling film (plastic film for convenience bags can also be used), and several small holes should be punctured on the cling film for breathability. Place the container in sunlight and maintain a temperature of around 20 degrees. Most seeds can germinate after a week. After germination, wait for the seedlings to grow strong and then transplant them to the ground.
3、 Treatment of Rose Seedlings
1. Planting - can be planted in the Yellow River Basin and its southern areas, and overwinter in the open. In cold northern regions, potted plants should be used and wintered indoors. When potted, a mixture of rotting leaf soil, garden soil, and river sand is used for cultivation, and an appropriate amount of decomposed manure, cake fertilizer, and compound fertilizer is added. After planting, water thoroughly once and place the seedlings in a shaded area for a few days before moving them to sunlight for cultivation.
2. Light and temperature - Adequate sunlight can promote good growth. Both ground and potted plants should be placed in a sunny area, receiving at least 4 hours of direct sunlight every day. Cannot be placed indoors in areas with insufficient lighting for a long time. Enter the room in winter and place it in the sun. The suitable growth temperature is 12-28 ℃ and can withstand low temperatures of -20 ℃. You can overwinter in the open air in the Zhengzhou area.
3. Watering and Fertilization - Apply an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer to the tree hole before planting, and water thoroughly after planting. Planting roses in the ground does not require strict water and fertilizer requirements, usually three times of fertilization is sufficient. One is pre flowering fertilizer, shaded by spring buds.
