Colourless to white crystal or crystalline powder, odourless. General merchandise has anhydrous and dodecahydrate two kinds. Dodecahydrate melting point 73.4 ℃, relative density d2911 62. heated to 55 ~ 65 ℃ into ten hydrate, heated to 60 ~ 100 ℃ into hexahydrate, heated to 100 ℃ or more to become monohydrate, heated to 212 ℃ or more to become anhydrous. Easily soluble in water (28.3g/lOOmL), insoluble in ethanol. In dry air, it is easy to deliquesce and weather, generating sodium dihydrogen phosphate and sodium bicarbonate. In water almost completely decomposed into disodium hydrogen phosphate and sodium hydroxide, 1% of the aqueous solution pH value of 11.5 ~ 12.1.TSP used as detergents, detergents, lubricants, food additives, stain remover and degreasing agent.

Uses:
Sodium phosphate is often used as water softener and boiler cleaner in textile, printing and dyeing, papermaking, power generation, chemical industry, etc. It is also used as metal descaling agent, sugar juice purifying agent, and coagulant of rubber emulsion. Phosphate has a very wide range of applications, as phosphate fertiliser is one of its most important applications, some other areas include phosphate molecular sieve, electronics, materials, biology and so on. Trisodium phosphate is a very important phosphate. Industrial grade trisodium phosphate is used as water softener and detergent, metal descaler, boiler anti-scaling agent in chemical, textile, printing and dyeing, paper making, power generation and other industries, with the advantages of easy to use and cheap price.
