On the 9th, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 17 of 2023, deciding to continue to impose Anti-Dumping Duty on imports of chloroprene rubber originating in Japan, the United States and the European Union from May 10, 2023, with the implementation period of five years.
According to Article 50 of the Anti Dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce proposes to continue implementing anti-dumping measures to the State Council Tariff Commission based on the investigation results. The State Council Tariff Commission has made the above decision based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Commerce.
The scope of products subject to Anti-Dumping Duty is the products to which the original anti-dumping measures apply, which is consistent with the scope of products in the Announcement No. 23 of 2005 of the Ministry of Commerce. From May 10, 2023, when importing neoprene originating in Japan, the United States and the European Union, import operators shall pay corresponding Anti-Dumping Duty to the customs of the People's Republic of China.
Chloroprene rubber is mainly used for wire and cable sheaths, rubber hoses, oil resistant rubber products, as well as for building waterproofing materials, sealing materials, adhesives, marine development, medical and health, energy development, and other aspects.
