This year is the year of cooperation between China and ASEAN in agricultural development and food security. According to statistics, in the first half of 2023, China imported 125.08 billion yuan of agricultural products from ASEAN, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%.
The relevant attendees highly praised China's contribution to agricultural exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries, and hoped that all parties can work together to address multiple challenges such as tight agricultural supplies and sluggish agricultural product trade, further deepen mutually beneficial agricultural cooperation, safeguard the food supply chain, enhance the value chain, and jointly maintain regional food security.
