Autumn is a season of abundant harvest and also a season of sowing. The corn, rice, soybeans, peanuts and other crops planted in the previous crop will gradually usher in a concentrated harvest period, while the wheat, garlic, rape and other crops (especially autumn vegetables) planted in the next crop will be harvested in succession. Today, I will introduce you to the key points of rapeseed cultivation.
Key Points for Planting Rapeseed
Variety selection. Select extremely early maturing varieties with heat resistance, strong comprehensive disease resistance, beautiful plant shape, good marketability, and a growth period of about 35 days.
Sowing and intercropping seedlings. Live broadcasting according to the spacing between plants and rows can be carried out by mixing 25 kilograms of fine sand soil with 0.3 kilograms of seeds and evenly sowing one acre. Shallow trenches should be made in a north-south direction, with a depth of 1.5 centimeters, and covered with vermiculite. After the seedlings are fully planted, the spacing between the seedlings is 5 centimeters, and the seedlings are fixed during the three leaf stage. About 20 seedlings are left per square meter.
Top dressing and watering. During the entire growth period, topdressing should be done twice, with one application of starting fertilizer, that is, one application of fully water-soluble balanced fertilizer during the three leaf stage, with a total of about 5 kilograms per mu of land being applied. During the vigorous growth period, topdressing with flourishing plant fertilizer should be carried out once, with 10 kilograms of balanced water-soluble fertilizer applied per acre. Alternatively, 7-8 kilograms of urea can be added with water. After the trefoil stage, potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be sprayed.
Prevention and treatment of pests and diseases. The main pests include tobacco whitefly, aphid, cabbage beetle, flea beetle, etc. It is recommended to spray imidacloprid, furfuran, and chlorpyrifos in a timely manner. Diseases and pests should be primarily prevented, and biological pesticides such as Beauveria bassiana can be used.
