Magnesium nitrate is an inorganic compound with a chemical formula of Mg(NO3)2. It is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, and liquid ammonia, and its aqueous solution is neutral. It can be used as dehydrating agent, catalyst and wheat ashing agent for concentrated nitric acid.
It is included in the "List of Explosive Hazardous Chemicals" and is controlled in accordance with the "Measures for the Administration of Explosive Hazardous Chemicals".
