EDTA Acid is a white crystalline powder. Melting point 240 ℃ (decomposition). The solubility in water is 0.5g/L (25 ℃). Insoluble in general organic solvents. Soluble in 160 times boiling water, soluble in alkaline solvents such as sodium hydroxide. At 150 ℃, there is a tendency to detach from carboxyl groups.
