What Is The Reason For The Largest Fertilizer Plant Announcing A Reduction in Production?

Recently, the global oligopoly potassium fertilizer supplier Potash Nutrien stated that due to the strike in Vancouver Port, the export capacity of its subsidiary Canpotex's Neptune terminal has decreased, and the company has reduced production of the Cory potassium fertilizer mine. The company will provide further guidance when it releases its second quarter financial results on August 2nd.
Ken Setz, president and CEO of Nutrien, said: "The interruption of Vancouver Port has led to a decrease in the output of our Koli potash mine. If it lasts for a long time, it may also affect the output of our other potash mines in Saskatchewan."
