On November 13, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Tang Renjian met with South Sudanese Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Josephine, Senegalese Minister of Agriculture Samba, and Burundi Environmental Agriculture Minister respectively in Sanya, Hainan. When meeting with Josephine, Tang Renjian said that China is willing to improve cooperation mechanisms with South Africa, maintain close communication and encourage enterprises to invest in South Africa. At the same time, we will strengthen South-South cooperation under the framework of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and promote the early implementation of cooperation projects. Josephine thanked China for its long-term support and assistance to the agricultural development of South Africa and was willing to work with China to promote the smooth implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Agricultural Cooperation between China and South Africa. After the talks, Tang Renjian and Josephine signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Agricultural Cooperation between China and South Africa.
