According to data compiled by the Successful Farming team, more than 2,600 acres of Iowa farmland are set to be auctioned in August 2025. Listings range from a single tract of 73 acres up to more than 600 acres divided into nine tracts. Here's a closer look at the farmland expected to change hands across 14 Iowa counties.

More than 2,600 acres of Iowa farmland are headed to the auction block in August 2025.
Peoples Co. will handle the sale on behalf of the Reveiz family.
Land Agent John Reburn of Peoples Co. said, "With the variety of tracts, there's a lot of different potential buyers between farmers that want to add more acres to their operation, hunters that want a nice hunting piece, or people that would like to have a smaller piece to build their dream home." He added, he expects the auction to end with quite a few different buyers.
Reburn anticipates tracts 2, 8, and 9, in particular, will draw interest from farmers. The farmland has been rented out in recent years. There is tenant interest in rental arrangements under new ownership.
Tract 2 is a 44.8 acre parcel that includes just over 35 acres of cropland. The tract has a CSR2 rating of 82. Reburn noted, "I could see that being a good beginning farmer purchase."
Tract 8 is half timber, but includes about 48 tillable acres and boasts a CSR2 of 81. The secluded timber acres border the Boone River. Reburn notes the proximity of many of these tracts to the river makes them unique and more variable compared with much of the flat, black land found elsewhere in Hamilton County.
