On December 10th, during the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), the United Arab Emirates, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Bank, the Consultative Organization on International Agricultural Research, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development jointly announced the launch of the Sharm el-Sheikh Joint Support Program. This is a three-year package of support aimed at helping countries release funds to support farmers, food producers, and small agricultural enterprises, while ensuring agricultural production while addressing climate change.
